Bhopal, March 8 -- A 90-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four unidentified people, who also tried to kill her after the crime, in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa district, a police officer aware of the matter said on Saturday. The incident took place on Wednesday but only came to light three days later when a medical shop owner informed the police after the woman's daughter repeatedly bought bandages and medicines from him. "After the crime, the accused also tried to kill her by throwing her into a well. However, hearing the sound of vehicles or people nearby, they left her in the field and fled. The villagers found her injured in the field the next morning," said Punasa sub-divisional police officer Manohar Gawli. Police said probe is on to arrest the accused. htc...
