LUCKNOW, May 4 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Sunday successfully hosted its first 'Green Run' on the Green Corridor, drawing over 1,500 registered participants and a large number of onlookers. LDA organised the 3.5-km fun run between Jhulelal Vatika and New Daliganj Bridge to promote environmental awareness and a healthy lifestyle. The authority opened online registrations for five days, receiving an overwhelming response. Participants warmed up with yoga and Zumba sessions before the race and later celebrated with music and dance. Officials flagged off the run at 6am across four categories. In the 18-30 age group, Sumit secured first place, followed by Ramesh and Sunil. In the 30-50 category, Ajay finished first, with Mayank Awasthi and Raghvendra taking second and third positions, respectively. In the 50+ category, Aadesh emerged as the winner, followed by Aditya and Ajay Kumar Tandon. In the couple category, Satyam and Sneha clinched the top spot. LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar and secretary Vivek Srivastava felicitated the winners and distributed medals and T-shirts to all participants. The event maintained high safety standards, with four hydration points, medical teams, ambulances, and adequate police deployment along the route.
