2 security officers of Zubeen arrested
Silchar, Oct. 11 -- Two personal security officers (PSOs) of Zubeen Garg have been arrested in connection with the singer's death in Singapore last month, the police said on Friday. The officers were suspended earlier this week after financial irregularities worth over Rs.1 crore were found in their accounts.
Garg, who had gone to attend the North East India Festival (NEIF) in Singapore, died while swimming in the sea on September 19. Since the singer's death, over 60 first information reports, including one by his family, have been filed in Assam and seven have been arrested.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged conspiracy behind Garg's death arrested Nandeswar Bora and Paresh Baishya on Thursday night, and were produced before a district court on Friday that remanded them to five days in police custody for further interrogation.htc...
