LUCKNOW, Sept. 15 -- Amar Pal Singh Maurya, a BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member, and Kameshwar Singh, state president of BJP Kisan Morcha, have been entrusted with the task of coordinating with Uttar Pradesh ministers on the BJP's behalf for resolving issues related to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its offspring organisations in Uttar Pradesh, a senior BJP leader said. A decision in this regard, according to him, was taken in the BJP-RSS coordination committee meeting here on Sunday. Among those present in the meeting also included BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, BJP state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh and senior RSS leader and strategist Atul Limaye, besides around 80 individuals representing various bodies of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between the RSS, BJP, and the state government. "In the meeting, it was decided that MP Amar Pal Singh Maurya and BJP's state Kisan Morcha chief Kameshwar Singh will be responsible on the BJP's behalf to coordinate with ministers in the Yogi Adityanath government to get problems faced by the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh and its bodies, related to the ministries concerned in the state, resolved," the BJP leader said. "The Hindu Jagran Manch that is raising the issue of the forceful religious conversions of Hindus, among other issues, for example, has issues related to police stations. Likewise, Vidya Bharati, an education wing, has issues perpetrating to the education department," he explained. Representatives from these organisations, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, and others briefed the committee about their efforts to awaken Hindus and ensure social service in various fields and the challenges and problems they face due to lack of cooperation from the government departments concerned.
