Varanasi, Sept. 1 -- Two men wanted in connection with the murder of a gym operator were arrested near Mansarovar Pond under the Mughalsarai police station area in Chandauli district on Sunday. Each of the accused carried a reward of Rs.50,000 on their head, police said. According to officials, an informer tipped off the police that the accused-Roshan Yadav and Rohit Yadav-were heading toward Mansarovar Pond and were in possession of illegal firearms. Acting on the input, police set up a blockade near the pond and the GTR bridge. During the operation, two suspects carrying bags were spotted standing by the roadside. They were apprehended and later identified as Roshan, 22, a resident of Nasirpur in Ghazipur district, and Rohit, 26, a resident of Jagatganj. A significant cache of arms was recovered from them, including seven .32 bore pistols, seven live cartridges of .32 bore, three country-made pistols of .315 bore and three live cartridges of .315 bore. Superintendent of police, Chandauli, Aditya Langeh, stated that one of the recovered pistols was used in the murder of gym operator Arvind Yadav, also known as Bindu Yadav. During interrogation, the duo confessed to their involvement in the killing, which took place in Dharna village in July. The police said that following the crime, both accused fled the area. So far, 11 individuals, including these two, have been arrested in connection with the case. The incident occurred on July 21 when Arvind Yadav, 40, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on a motorcycle in Dharna village under Mughalsarai police limits. He was rushed to the Trauma Centre in Varanasi but succumbed to his injuries. A case was registered based on a complaint filed by the family, and an investigation was launched....
