VARANASI, Aug. 14 -- Flight operations at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (LBSI) were suspended on Tuesday, August 11, after a crew reported Foreign Object Debris (FOD) on the runway, airport director Punit Gupta confirmed on Thursday. The incident was prompted by a non-scheduled flight, VTEJZ, traveling from Vadodara to Varanasi. Upon approach, the flight crew alerted Air Traffic Control (ATC) to the presence of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) on the runway surface. According to reports, the FOD included some sand and pebble-sized debris. Prioritising aviation safety, airport authorities immediately conducted an inspection.
