LUCKNOW, Oct. 6 -- Lucknow University vice-chancellor prof J P Saini carried out an inspection of the new campus in Jankipuram on Monday and reviewed faculties and hostels. During the visit he inspected the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), faculty of law and faculty of engineering and took stock of the academic atmosphere, class conduct, and basic infrastructure facilities. Prof Saini entered classrooms and interacted with students and enquired about the quality of teaching-learning. He also held detailed discussions with faculty members regarding academic activities, research and requirements of the faculties and held positive deliberations on strengthening the academic environment. He also chaired a review meeting at his office with the provosts, and the sports incharge. In the meeting he issued directions that quality check in hostel mess will be mandatory before cooking. He said the provost and assistant provost will compulsorily check the quality of ingredients and students will also be actively involved in the entire process so that no problem arises regarding food quality. htc...
