VARANASI, Sept. 10 -- The 'Rashtriya Poshan Maah Abhiyaan' (nutrition month campaign) forms the foundation of Viksit Bharat (Developed India), said Annapurna Devi, Union minister for women and child development, at the launch of the campaign's ninth edition in Varanasi on Wednesday. "The programme is driven by public participation and the collective effort of the entire society, every day and every moment, she said. "Just as a strong building requires a solid foundation, we must strengthen our children to build a developed India," she said. She commended chief minister Yogi Adityanath's efforts for the campaign's success in UP. She added that UP has fostered a safe environment for women.
