'Corridor to ease commuting for 1.5 million residents'
LUCKNOW, March 14 -- Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said the Green Corridor project will significantly improve commuting for residents of the state capital.
He said the corridor is expected to benefit nearly 1.5 million people by easing traffic congestion and enabling faster movement across the city.
Singh also highlighted environmental measures taken during construction, noting that more than 150 trees were transplanted instead of being cut, helping preserve greenery while executing the project.
He added that a portion of Indian Army land was utilised for the project, reflecting coordination between defence authorities and the civil administration in carrying out large infrastructure works.htc...
