Negi case: BJP leader hits out at Cong over CBI chargesheet revelations
Shimla, June 7 -- In a scathing attack on the working of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government, BJP state general secretary Sanjeev Katwal raised questions on the working of the government while seeking accountability of the officers in the death of Vimal Negi, chief engineer of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL).
Negi, a senior engineer with HPPCL, went missing on March 10 this year and his body was recovered from Govind Sagar Lake in Bilaspur district on March 18, 2025. Speaking to the media in Shimla, Katwal criticised the Congress government over the facts that have emerged in the Negi case after CBI filed chargesheet before the local court. Katwal was in Shimla to attend a BJP meeting. He said that the information recently brought into the public domain and the findings reportedly presented by the investigating agency before the court have shaken the entire state. htc...
