Shimla, Sept. 18 -- The process for the recruitment of 228 medical officers (general wing) has been initiated to further strengthen the healthcare delivery system, the health and family welfare department said. The recruitment process includes 70 backlog posts and 158 fresh posts. A proposal in this regard has been sent to the HP Public Service Commission. The state government has also initiated the process of filling one post of assistant professor (super-speciality) in gastroenterology by promotion under the department of medical education and research.
