Dharamshala, Oct. 27 -- The B-1 exam of Himachal police department, conducted for the promotion of 4,461 police constables across the state, was cancelled on Sunday due to technical issues, police officials said. The office of the director general of police (DGP), in a statement said that a fresh date for the B-1 online test will be announced shortly, after the technical issues are fully resolved. "Himachal Police had scheduled B-1 test 2025 on October 26 for the promotion of 4,461 police constables across the state. The examination was being conducted online at various designated centres under the supervision of the respective district superintendents of police. To ensure smooth and transparent conduct, the test was planned in two shifts - the morning shift for 2,696 candidates and evening shift for 1,765 candidates," police department said in the statement. "However, due to certain technical issues encountered during the online examination, the process had to be temporarily called off in order to maintain fairness, transparency, and uniformity in selection process," it added.HTC...
