Shimla, Sept. 22 -- Two stray dogs attacked a 20-month-old girl, leaving her with severe injuries in Shimla on Sunday. The canines dragged her about 20 to 30 metres from her home. Hearing her screams, her mother and neighbours rushed to the scene and managed to rescue her. Girl's father, Ramandeep, said toddler sustained multiple injuries to her face, back, legs, and other parts of her body, requiring 11 stitches. She was rushed to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), where she is undergoing treatment, he said. Girl's grandfather Pratap Singh met deputy mayor Uma Kaushal and sought necessary action against the dog menace.
