Shimla, July 2 -- The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday in an administrative reshuffle transferred and assigned new responsibilities to 9 Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) and Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Service (HPSS). Sachin Kanwal (HPAS-2009), Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been relieved of the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission. He will now serve exclusively as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister. Surender Mohan (HPAS-2014), Additional Director of Rural Development, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Chief Executive Officer, Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission, while continuing in his present post.Among the Secretariat-level changes, Dr. Swati Gupta (HPAS-2019), Joint Secretary (Administrative Reforms), has been assigned the additional charge of Joint Secretary (Training and Foreign Assignment) and the Sainik Welfare Department. Promila Sharma (HPSS), Under Secretary, General Administration Department, has been relieved of her additional charge of the Sainik Welfare Department and will continue to function exclusively in the General Administration Department. Sukh Ram (HPSS), who was serving as Under Secretary, Rural Development, with the additional charge of Town and Country Planning, has been posted as Under Secretary, Town and Country Planning. He has also been assigned the additional charge of Under Secretary, Digital Technologies and Governance. Ranjana Sharma (HPSS), Under Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, has been relieved of the additional charge of Digital Technologies and Governance. The government has also transferred Jai Prakash (HPSS) from the Agriculture Department to the Home Department as Under Secretary. Kapil Mohan (HPSS), Under Secretary, Secretariat Administration Department, has been given the additional charge of Under Secretary, Agriculture. Following their recent promotions, Monika Sood (HPSS) has been posted as Under Secretary, Education, while Praveen Kumar (HPSS) has been appointed as Under Secretary, Rural Development.
