Barmer/Balotra, Oct. 24 -- A 32-year-old woman and her three children were found dead in a water tank in Balotra on Thursday, said police, adding that preliminary enquiries suggested the woman died by suicide after allegedly drowning her three children in the dead of night on Wednesday. The incident was ascertained to have occurred at around 11.30pm, said police, adding that the bodies were found on Wednesday morning by the woman's mother-in-law. The bodies have been retrieved and sent for post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death, said police.
