India, Feb. 7 -- M ove over Paris and Milan, Jaipur is stepping into the global fashion spotlight as the 4th edition of FDCI India Men's Weekend unfolds at the iconic Diggi Palace today. The two-day (February 7-8) event puts menswear front and centre, bringing together industry heavyweights and emerging designers. FDCI chairman Sunil Sethi says, "FDCI India Men's Weekend has always been a focused platform that reflects the evolving identity of Indian menswear." This year, designers are pushing boundaries, with Siddhartha Tytler experimenting with textures and sparkle. "We've put a new twist on twisted salwars, patialas, and pants," he says, noting that men are increasingly embracing bold colours and intricate embroidery. Meanwhile, designer Pawan Sachdeva's After Dark collection shifts focus entirely on structure. "Surface ornamentation isn't just decorative but architectural," he explains, presenting relaxed silhouettes like men's skirts and boxy trousers that blend Indian drapes with sharp Western tailoring. Taking a high-energy monochrome route, Ujjawal Dubey of Antar-Agni takes a different route. "This year I'm going sporty with a desi twist, think chunky stripes and 'Indian athletic' silhouettes in a strict black-and-white palette," he says. The participating designers include Abraham & Thakore, JJ Valaya, Ashish N Soni, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Siddhartha Tytler, Pawan Sachdeva, Samant Chauhan, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Antar Agni, Countrymade, Sahil Aneja, Dhruv Vaish, Krishna Mehta, Kommal Sood, Paresh Lamba, Rohit Kamra Jaipur, Vivek Karunakaran, Son of a Noble SNOB, TIL, Amit Hansraj, Nikita Mahisalkar, Mr. Ajay Kumar, and Felix Bendish....
