Jaipur, April 16 -- Water resources minister Suresh Singh Rawat on Wednesday reviewed the progress of important water management projects and directed officials to expedite ongoing works to ensure timely completion. Chairing a review meeting at the Indira Gandhi Canal Bhawan here, Rawat said that zonal camps will be organised at the Jaipur headquarters to fast-track project proposals and resolve bottlenecks, including delays in preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) and statutory clearances. "Projects must be completed within the stipulated timeline with quality and transparency. Any negligence will not be tolerated," he said. The minister directed engineers to undertake regular field visits to project sites and submit monthly reports with photographs reflecting the actual ground situation.
