India, July 19 -- A cake featured at Tamil Nadu Chief Minister-actor Vijay's 52nd birthday celebration has sparked a culinary trend in Chennai. After the picture shared by actor Trisha to wish Vijay on June 22, where the cake was spotted, went viral, the baker behind the dessert revealed a craze has overtaken the city to have the exact same mango-vanilla cake. Chennai-based baker Tanvi Bokaria opened up in the surge in demand for the cake, calling it an "overnight fame for us." She told India Today, "We had no idea what occasion the cake was initially ordered for. It was incredibly special and caught me completely off guard. The last two weeks have been chaotic with sales, but I'm deeply grateful." The overwhelming demand has rebranded the product as local patrons have officially renamed it as the "CM Cake".
