Barmer/Jalore/Pali, Aug. 20 -- Three minors and a 35-year-old man drowned in two separate incidents in the state, officials said on Tuesday. The first incident, in Jalore district, took place around 6 pm at the Kibali pond near Biblesar village, under Bagara police station limits in Jalore district. "Three friends - Rohit Kumar (12), son of Rajuram Bagri; Dashrath (15), son of Chogaram Prajapat; and Kuldeep (14), son of Parsmal Prajapat - drowned while bathing in a pond," tehsildar Babu Singh Rajpurohit said. He further said: "One of the boys went into the deep water and began to drown. The other two jumped in to save him but were also pulled under. Villagers launched an immediate search in the muddy pond and carried out a rescue operation for nearly one and a half hours. Late at night, the bodies of all three children were recovered." In another incident, 35-year-old Sujaram, son of Bagaram Devasi and a resident of Bhanwari, drowned in the Moriya Nada pond on Monday evening in Pali district. "Sujaram had entered the water to rescue his buffalo but accidentally went into deep water and drowned. With the help of villagers and divers, his body was pulled out late at night and taken to Bangar Hospital in Pali, where doctors declared him dead. The body has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem examination before being handed over to the family," said Rajendra Singh, Jetpur SHO ....
