teacher crossing tracks run over by train in dausa
Bharatpur/Dausa, April 20 -- A government school teacher was killed after being run over while crossing a railway track, allegedly while talking on the phone, in Dausa district, police said on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Rekha Jangid, 37, of Devatwal Colony in Bandikui. She was a Class 3 teacher at a school in Kishangarh, Ajmer.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening when she arrived at Bandikui railway station by the Pooja Express. She was crossing the railway tracks when she was hit by a Vande Bharat Express train.
On being informed, the Government Railway Police (GRP) rushed her to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Hanuman Prasad, Assistant in-charge of the GRP police station, said the teacher was crossing the tracks when the Delhi-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express struck her.
During preliminary investigation, it was found that she was on a phone call, informing family members to pick her up from the railway station.htc...
