Jaipur, April 14 -- The Rajasthan Police will hold a special band performance at the Albert Hall Museum on Tuesday evening as part of its Foundation Day celebrations, with the event open to the public.The event is being organised under a three-day programme to mark Rajasthan Police Foundation Day, said officers, adding that the band will perform in traditional attire from 7 pm to 8:15 pm. Officials added that various events were being organised across the state to mark the occasion. The repertoire will include patriotic classics such as Sare Jahan Se Achha, along with several energetic compositions. The event will be open for the public, added officials. The Jaipur Range Police took action against over 10,000 vehicles for traffic violations between April 11 and April 12, officials said on Monday, adding that the special drive was conducted under the Inspector General of Police Rahul Prakash's orders. A total of 10,344 vehicles were booked during the operation, they said, adding that the campaign focused on strict enforcement of traffic rules.Action was also taken against 972 cases of triple riding and 1,183 cases of overspeeding. In addition, 735 motorists were fined for driving on the wrong side, and 179 for using mobile phones while driving. Pratapgarh police have frozen movable and immovable assets worth Rs.2.78 crore belonging to an alleged drug trafficker, officers aware of the matter said on Monday. The action was carried out under the direction of district superintendent of police B Aditya, targeting accused Usman Khan, they added. The assets were frozen under Section 68F(1) of the NDPS Act after approval from the competent authority in New Delhi. Police teams on Monday pasted freezing notices at the residences of the accused and his relatives, formally restricting the use and transfer of the properties.Police records show that Usman Khan has previous cases against him, including attempt to murder and Arms Act violations....
