India, Aug. 12 -- L yricist Manoj Muntashir recently questioned music composer AR Rahman over his remarks on Chhaava (2025). Earlier this year, Rahman alluded to the film being propaganda, despite composing its music. Speaking to Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, Muntashir said Rahman should not have worked on the film if he disagreed with its content. "It is not like you hadn't heard the script before agreeing to work in it. You suddenly started composing music for it? After doing the film and calling it propaganda, I do not understand this, sorry," he said. Rahman's remark about Chhaava had come in January this year. In an interview with the BBC, he had described Chhaava as a "divisive film" that "cashed in on divisiveness", while also adding that "communal" factors may have contributed to him getting less work in the Hindi film industry over the "past eight years".HTC...
