Kota, Oct. 27 -- A 16-year-old Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirant was found dead at his paying guest (PG) accommodation in Kota, with police suspecting it to be a case of suicide, a senior officer said on Monday. The incident took place late Sunday night at the PG accommodation in Mahaveer Nagar-I area, police said, adding the deceased was from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh and had moved to Kota around six months ago to prepare for the engineering entrance examination. Deputy superintendent of police Manish Sharma said police received information about the incident late at night on Sunday and rushed to the spot. "The student's body was shifted to the mortuary at MBS Hospital, and the post-mortem examination was conducted after his family arrived from Shivpuri. The body was subsequently handed over to the family," he added. According to police, other students staying at the PG told investigators that they usually went for a walk after dinner, but the teenager had not left his room that night. When repeated knocks on his door elicited no response, they informed the PG operator. The student's family said he had not been under any pressure and that there were no problems at home. During their last telephone conversation, he had told them that he had an examination. However, the family later learnt that he had not appeared for it and had remained in his room. The family also alleged that the coaching institute had failed to inform them about his absence from the examination, raising questions about communication between the institute and the parents....
