Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant face the heat from experts
India, May 6 -- Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar didn't hold back as he criticised Jasprit Bumrah after his another disappointing outing for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing Indian Premier League. Bumrah's no-ball issue, eight already this season, hurt MI again against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. A key moment came in the 14th over when he appeared to dismiss Himmat Singh, only for it to be ruled a no-ball. The batter made the most of the reprieve, scoring 40 and helping LSG cross 220. During commentary, a frustrated Gavaskar said on air, "Do not tell me again. that Bumrah has bowled a no-ball. That is not acceptable. You are a professional cricketer; it is not acceptable. Wides, yes, I understand, but no balls, no." When Bumrah bowled two no-balls in the same over, cameras showed head coach Mahela Jayawardene and bowling coach Lasith Malinga looking concerned.
