JODHPUR, July 1 -- The Rajasthan High Court on Monday stayed the operation and implementation of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) CUET-2026 Counselling and Allotment Schedule for admissions to B.Sc. Nursing, B.Pharm and B.P.T. courses, observing that the counselling process cannot continue while applications for No Objection Certificates (NOCs) submitted by the petitioner institutions remain undecided. Justice Mukesh Rajpurohit passed the interim order while hearing a batch of writ petitions filed by educational institutions seeking grant of NOCs. The Court directed that the counselling schedule notified on June 11, 2026, shall remain in abeyance until the next date of hearing and listed the matters for July 15. The bench observed that the institutions' applications, submitted under the State's guidelines dated October 15, 2024, had remained pending for more than one and a half years despite repeated opportunities granted to the government and assurances before the Court. "If the counselling process is permitted to proceed before adjudication of the pending applications for grant of NOCs, the petitioner-institutions, whose applications have remained pending solely on account of inaction of the respondent authorities, would suffer irreparable prejudice...The delay on the part of the respondent-State continues to remain unexplained," the bench noted....
