JAIPUR/JODHPUR, May 9 -- The Rajasthan high court on Friday stayed the effect of a preliminary approval granted for the proposed Amber Fort-Nahargarh Fort-Jaigarh Fort ropeway project after a private company alleged that the State authorities acted in a biased manner while selecting the project proponent. Justice Sameer Jain passed the interim order while hearing a writ petition filed by Shivamprime Infraprojects Pvt. Ltd., which challenged the permission granted on February 2 in favour of another applicant company. The Court issued notices to the respondents and directed that the "effect of permission dated 02.02.2026 be kept in abeyance till further order of the Court." Counsel for the petitioner submitted that although the project fell within the ambit of "procurement" under Section 2(13) of the Rajasthan Transparency in Public Procurement Act, 2012, the authorities allegedly proceeded without issuing any public advertisement or tender process. It was argued that despite it, three companies, including the petitioner and respondent No.4, approached the authorities seeking the project.
