hc quashes plea against new villages in western distts
Jodhpur, Sept. 29 -- The Rajasthan High Court has dismissed a batch of petitions challenging the creation and naming of new revenue villages across several districts of western Rajasthan, such as Barmer, saying there was no ground to interfere with the government's decisions, a lawyer familiar with the case said on Sunday.
The petitioners had alleged that the government violated its own circulars relating to minimum population, distance between villages, naming norms, and the requirement of Gram Sabha consent....
