Balotra, April 25 -- Congress leader Govind Singh Dotasara on Friday mounted a sharp attack on the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Rajasthan, placing the recent refinery fire in Barmer at the centre of his criticism and describing it as a "major conspiracy" that warrants a thorough and transparent investigation. Addressing the media at the Circuit House in Barmer, the Congress leader said, "The incident raises serious concerns, particularly because it occurred just hours before a scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. How such a significant fire could break out at a critical infrastructure project ahead of a high-profile event, and why authorities have failed to provide clear answers even several days later." According to him, there is still no official clarity on how the fire started, who was responsible, what safety mechanisms failed, and who was in charge of supervision at the time.
