India, June 5 -- Veteran film producer and former CBFC chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani passed away in Mumbai at the age of 76. He breathed his last at his Mumbai residence, following a prolonged illness often associated with liver cirrhosis. His last rites and cremation took place at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium in Mumbail, yesterday with many prominent figures from the film industries in attendance - Filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar arrived for Pahlaj Nihalni's last rites. Actor Malaika Arora paid her respects. Amrita Arora and huband Shakeel Ladak at veteran producer Pahlaj Nilahani's last rites Filmmaker David Dhawan paid rhis respect to the late producer. He and Pahlaj Nihalani collaborated on some of the biggest 1990s Bollywood comedies, including blockbusters like Shola Aur Shabnam (1992) and Aankhen (1993)....
