Army carries out high-intensity artillery drills in Pokaran range
Barmer, March 19 -- The Indian Army on Wednesday conducted high-intensity artillery drills in the Pokaran Field Firing Range, focusing on precision firepower, rapid response and integration of modern technologies such as drones to enhance effectiveness in dynamic battlefield scenarios.
Under the exercise the Gunners undertook focused training and intensive field firing drills aimed at sharpening their combat skills.
Special emphasis was placed on refining Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to ensure adaptability and efficiency in dynamic battlefield conditions.
During the exercise, validation of firepower systems was conducted to achieve flawless and precise delivery in simulated combat scenarios. The drills tested coordination, response time and accuracy under challenging conditions, ensuring operational readiness.
A key highlight of the exercise was the integration of drone technology, which was used for surveillance and target acquisition. This fusion of traditional artillery with modern systems significantly enhanced situational awareness and precision strike capability, reflecting the Army's growing focus on technology-driven warfare.
