Gurugram, Feb. 9 -- Two employees of a private bank were arrested on Saturday in connection with a Rs.50 lakh cryptocurrency investment fraud, after another co-accused taken into custody on Thursday, police said. A senior officer at the Cyber police station (south) said five suspects, including the bank employees, were arrested for creating accounts with forged documents. "Based on a complaint received on January 15 this year, a probe was launched," the official said. According to police, Those arrested are Pintu Kumar, 30; Rohit (single name), 30; and Umang Gupta, 26, all from Hathras. Gupta, a sales executive, and Rohit, a sales manager, allegedly helped open the account used in the fraud, which Pintu bought from Dinesh for Rs.30,000. The victim's money was transferred to "Dinesh Enterprises". Sandeep Turan, Gurugram police spokesperson, said, "Pintu and Ankul (single name) allegedly sold the account for Rs.8 lakh. Gupta and Rohit allegedly took kickbacks of Rs.1 lakh and Rs.2 lakh." More arrests are expected....
