Panel sets Oct 31 deadline to clear Sec 10 site for metro yard
Gururgam, Sept. 18 -- The high-powered committee on Gurugram metro on Wednesday directed the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) to remove thousands of tonnes of construction waste from the Sector 10 auto market by October 31, where a casting yard will be set up, officials said.
The panel also asked Gurugram Metro Rail Limited to frame a compensation policy for landowners. "The district administration has asked the GMRL to formulate the compensation and rehabilitation policy under which compensation can be paid," said a senior government official, without specifying a timeline.
The meeting also reviewed clearance of utilities and buildings between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk. A GMRL official said opposition to an RRTS station at Shankar Chowk was delaying tender finalisation for phase two from Sector 9 to Cyber Hub....
