nuh: FOUR held FOR USING FAKE ADMIT CARDS FOR CLASS 12 EXAMS
Nuh, Feb. 26 -- Two impersonators, including a minor, along with an actual candidate and a common service centre owner were detained in Nuh for allegedly writing the English paper in place of registered candidates by using forged admit cards in the Class 12 Haryana Board of School Education exams that began on Wednesday, police said.
The suspects were identified as Mohammad Shahbaz and Mohammad Sameer of Adbar, Mohammad Junaid of Sadar area of Nuh, and a minor from Uttawad in Pawal. The incident came to light during checking at Government Senior Secondary School, Salaheri.
Amit Kumar, centre superintendent, said the minor was writing the examination in place of a candidate named Shahbaz from Lakhnaka village. "One of the accused was caught writing paper in place of a candidate named Sameer," he alleged in the FIR.
"Soon after, police officials were alerted and the duo was handed over to them and a written complaint was also submitted that the duo and the actual candidates simultaneously," he said, adding that minor errors in scan code and forged signature of principal on the admit cards exposed them.
Krishan Kumar, public relations officer of Nuh police, said both impersonators were questioned by a team led by assistant sub-inspector Kamal Singh. It emerged that CSC owner Junaid allegedly helped prepare forged admit cards by tampering with photos, code and signature using coloured scanning technique.
"Thus, a team led by Singh arrested Junaid as well as actual candidate Sameer. We are trying to ascertain if Junaid had helped in forging admit cards for other candidates too," he said, adding that original candidate Shahbaz of Lakhanka is yet to be arrested....
