GGM councillor elected to MCG finance panel
Gurugram, Oct. 2 -- The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) House on Thursday unanimously elected Ward 27 councillor Ashish Gupta to its Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC), filling a vacancy on the panel overseeing the civic body's financial and contractual matters.
Gupta was elected unopposed at the general House meeting chaired by mayor Raj Rani Malhotra.
The House also approved deployment of three tractor-trolleys and 50 sanitation workers in each ward to strengthen waste lifting and cleaning.
It cleared measures to protect 272 acres of MCG land in Ward 21 from encroachments, including demarcation and construction of a boundary wall.
The civic body also decided to provide one jetting machine per ward and one super sucker machine for every two wards for sewer maintenance....
