Gurugram, Nov. 8 -- A fire broke out at a rubber manufacturing unit in IMT Manesar's Sector 6 on Saturday morning after a diya left burning during Diwali celebrations triggered the blaze, fire officials said. No injuries were reported. Firefighters received the alert at 9.40am and dispatched two tenders. The blaze spread through raw rubber and finished products, complicating efforts to contain it. Fire safety officer (FSO) Lalit Kumar said that the extent of the fire damage was being assessed. In a separate incident on Friday morning, a country liquor outlet in Sector 49 was gutted in a fire suspected to have spread from burning garbage behind shops. Three tenders responded.
