Assam techie who shifted to Noida last month killed in hit-and-run
Noida, Aug. 22 -- A 29-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run when an unidentified vehicle hit his motorbike-taxi in Noida Sector 83 on Tuesday evening, police said. The victim, Ankur Bikash Bora, from Lakhimpur, Assam, had shifted to Noida from Bengaluru barely a month-and-a-half ago on being promoted as a senior engineer at an American MNC, police said. He was riding pillion on the bike when he was killed, and the bike rider sustained injuries.

"Bora was going from his office to his hotel in Sector 83 around 7.30 pm. Just as his bike driver suddenly took a U-turn near Sector 83 Metro station, a speeding unidentified vehicle hit their bike and fled the scene, leaving them bleeding on the road," said an officer.
Bora sustained multiple injuries, including a severe head injury, due to a low-quality helmet. He called his brother in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and informed them that he was in a "lot of pain", said officers.
A passerby informed a nearby police team about the accident. "Police rushed Bora and Kumar to a nearby hospital where Bora succumbed to his injuries during treatment at night. Kumar was later discharged from the hospital," said the officer.
