Gurugram, Sept. 26 -- A proposed construction and demolition (C&D) waste collection centre in Sector 106 has drawn opposition from Lt General PS Shekhawat, chief of staff of the South Western Command, who has urged the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) to reconsider the site over health and land-use concerns. In a letter to MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, Shekhawat said the site lies amid residential areas in Sector 106 and Babupur village, with a housing complex barely 100 metres away and an approved nursery school sharing its boundary wall.
