Sonamarg, June 9 -- Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari will carry out the final breakthrough of Zojila Tunnel on Tuesday with the symbolic excavation of the last wall of the tunnel, allowing the transformation of all-weather connectivity between the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and strengthen strategic dominance in the border region, an official aware of the matter said on Monday. After the breakthrough,the full project is expected to be commissioned with next two-and-a-half years, said the official.
