Mohali, March 3 -- Police have registered a case after two women were targeted in separate chain-snatching incidents allegedly carried out by the same motorcycle-borne duo. The incidents took place around 1.30 pm and involved two unidentified men on Thursday. In the first incident, Vandna, a resident of Sigma City, was returning home after picking up her daughter from school on her Activa scooter. Near Amcare Hospital, two men on a bike allegedly followed her. The pillion rider snatched the gold chain and the duo sped away towards Patiala Chowk road. In the second case, Anita Chauhan, a resident of Trishla City, was buying vegetables from a roadside stall near Pratap Store along with her sister-in-law. Police said two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle, and one of them pretended to buy vegetables.He allegedly snatched Anita's gold chain and fled with his accomplice.
