Behlolpur, Aug. 14 -- Shishu Niketan Public School successfully organised an informative and interactive workshop on disaster management in the school premises to create awareness and preparedness among students and staff for various emergency situations. The session was conducted by Mitali who shared valuable insights on how to respond effectively during natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires, and cyclones, as well as man-made emergencies. Students were trained in basic safety protocols, evacuation procedures, and first aid techniques. Through live demonstrations, audio-visual presentations, and hands-on activities, participants learned the importance of staying calm, acting quickly, and helping others in times of crisis. The workshop aimed to instill a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and resilience in young learners. The director Cdr Roopak Chadha appreciated the initiative and emphasised that disaster preparedness is an essential life skill.
