India, Aug. 15 -- The fiercely loyal ARMY of K-pop band BTS has been calling out members RM and J-Hope on social media after they attended the ongoing R&B Tour by Usher and Chris Brown in Toronto on August 12. While the two could be seen having a good time, their fans are not impressed at the K-pop icons supporting the American musicians. Brown has a history of domestic violence and sexual misconduct, including the high profile domestic violence case by Rihanna. He has also been the subject of a documentary, detailing several allegations of violence against women. Usher has also courted controversy by publicly supporting music producer Sean 'Diddy' Combs after the latter was accused of sex trafficking and convicted of transporting people across state lines for prostitution. Despite the conviction, Usher has called Combs "a mentor", adding, "I put respect to the name". For fans, RM and J-Hope attending the concert and posing with Brown felt inconsistent with the values that BTS associates with, including empowerment, and supporting women. One wrote on X, "Chris Brown concert? Really? A man who nearly beat a woman to death? And your own fandom is mostly women? Wow...that's a choice. You can do and listen to whatever you like, but at least don't advertise it or give it positive attention online when you have such a huge influence." Another commented, "As a female BTS fan, I'm disappointed that Taehyung, Jungkook, Namjoon, and Hoseok support Chris Brown because it's IMPOSSIBLE that they don't know all the atrocities this awful man has committed against multiple women."
