India, Aug. 9 -- From Instagram explainers to dating podcasts, limerence has become the latest relationship buzzword, with a 500% increase in Google searches. Coined by psychologist Dorothy Tennov in the 1970s, it describes an intense fixation on another person, with intrusive thoughts and a strong need for reciprocation. As per Jeff Guenther, Portland-based counsellor, "Your whole dumb brain gets hijacked by one person you're really into. You're not just thinking about them.
