India, Sept. 22 -- Singer-composer Sargam Vaish took to Instagram on Monday to flag the alleged unauthorised use of his song Aigiri Nandini in the trailer of the Siddharth Malhotra-Tamannaah Bhatia starrer The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest. Now, Vaish tells us that a legal notice has already been sent to the makers. "We immediately contacted a lawyer. It took a few days to complete the legal paperwork, but everything is in place now. We sent the legal notice on Monday," he shares. Vaish adds that his demands are simple: "Song toh hatana padega; aisa nahin hota hai. Even if they ask (for permission to use the song) now, we can't give it because it is already with other makers." Vaish says the entire ordeal has left him "alarmed". "I was shocked to hear the track being used by the makers. No credit was given to us. It is based on the Mahishasura Mardini Stotram, and it's totally our version. We hold the master rights," he says. Talking about how the song came about, he adds, "For the last three years, I have been working on a project under contract with BLive, with Aigiri Nandini being a core part of my album, Asur Ke Bhajan. We were even planning live shows around it, and had also pitched it to a major filmmaker. All was good, until our song surfaced in an unexpected place."
