Toxic rating disappears from booking site as negative reviews mount

ash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has drawn largely negative reviews from critics and sections of the audience since its release. Amid the criticism, the film's user rating appears to have disappeared from the booking site, BookMyShow.
Screenshots shared online show Toxic earlier carrying a 5.5/10 rating on the ticket-booking platform. The listing now shows only the number of likes, with no user score visible. The platform has not publicly explained the change.
Separately, YouTuber Suraj Kumar claims he received a legal notice from the film's team over his review of the movie. Sharing a screenshot of the notice on X, he wrote, "Thank You Team #Toxic For the Legal Notice on My Review." The review video remained available at the time of writing. The notice Kumar presents was allegedly issued on behalf of producer KVN Monster Mind Creations LLP. Ahead of Toxic's release, a Bengaluru court had granted the producers an ex parte temporary injunction restraining the publication or circulation of false or defamatory content against the film. The interim order, passed on August 22, is to remain in force until the next hearing on September 28. The court also clarified that the injunction could be used only for the purpose for which it was granted.
