Ghaziabad, Aug. 10 -- A security guard allegedly shot a teenager dead, suspecting that he was stealing iron rebars from an under-construction building in Sahibabad, police said on Sunday. The victim's family has said the victim was out making videos for social media. The victim was identified as a resident of Sahibabad, who worked as a welder in Lucknow and returned home on leave. Police said the site where the incident took place is open and does not have any walls or gates, making it easy to enter. A preliminary investigation showed that the victim had been shot using a 12-bore shotgun, said SHO (Sahibabad) Ravindar Gautam, adding that it was a licensed weapon.
