Takht writes to speaker on sacrilege law, lists Objections
AMRITSAR, May 12 -- The Akal Takht on Monday formally conveyed to the Punjab government its objections to the newly enacted anti-sacrilege law. In a letter to speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Akal Takht jathedar Giani Gargaj Singh strongly criticised the clauses, alleging "interference in Panthic affairs and violation of Sikh principles."
