Amritsar, Sept. 25 -- Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday called for a central agency probe into illegal sand mining in Punjab. He alleged that funds from the illicit trade were being funnelled directly to AAP national convener through party MLAs. Addressing a Punjab Bachao rally in the Ajnala, Sukhbir also accused the chief minister of funding the Waris Punjab De outfit to divide the Panthic vote. He declared Jodh Singh Samra as the SAD's candidate for the 2027 Ajnala assembly polls.
