Chandigarh, July 31 -- St. Xavier`s Senior Secondary School organised the preliminary stage of Frank Anthony memorial all India inter-school debate competition on July 24. The event saw arguments from talented students of Classes 9 and 10. Teams from eight prominent schools of the region took part in this mega event. The event was moderated by Dinesh Kumar, who ensured a smooth and lively flow of arguments. The panel included Dipti (english educator), Sudesh Raghav (retired principal), and Anjali Arora, (former english educator). The topic of the debate was, 'Eco tourism is more harmful than beneficial in practice.' Following intense rounds of debate, the results declared were as under: winning team- Hasleen Kaur and Harnoor Kaur of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali; first runner up team- Yashvir Singh Dhillon and Alya Gupta of Strawberry Fields High School, Chandigarh; best speaker - Hasleen Kaur of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali; first runner up- Yashvir Singh Dhillon, Strawberry Field High School, Chandigarh.
