Chandigarh, Aug. 19 -- St Joseph Senior Secondary School celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour, bringing together students and teachers in a celebration that reflected both pride in the nation and a sense of responsibility towards its future. The celebrations began with the unfurling of the Tricolour by principal Monica Chawla, followed by the national anthem, setting the tone for the day. Centred around the vision of 'A New India' where every child learns, every citizen contributes, every woman walks with confidence and every young mind has the courage to innovate, the programme saw enthusiastic participation from students across all blocks, from Kindergarten to senior secondary. Through thoughtfully planned presentations across different floors and blocks of the school, they brought alive ideas of education, empowerment, inclusivity, innovation and responsible citizenship. Each block gave its own expression to the larger theme, lending variety and meaning to the celebrations.
