Chandigarh, July 7 -- Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, under the aegis of the chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society, Amritsar, successfully organised a second day of the comprehensive Teachers' Training Workshop aimed at enhancing pedagogical skills and promoting learner-centred education. The workshop featured three enriching sessions conducted by eminent academicians and experienced educators. The first session was delivered by Ashwini Kumar Sharma, associate director and professor, CGC, Mohali, on the topic 'Learning Outcomes and Pedagogy.' He emphasised the significance of outcome-based education, innovative teaching strategies and effective classroom practices that foster critical thinking, creativity and active student participation. The second session was conducted by Shama Kukkal, principal, Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, on 'Coordination, Consolidation & Language Competency - A Learner-Centred Approach for All Subjects.' She highlighted the importance of integrating language skills across the curriculum, strengthening coordination among teachers and adopting collaborative strategies to ensure holistic learning and improved academic outcomes. The final session was led by the subject teachers of the school, who engaged in meaningful discussions on subject-specific challenges faced in classrooms. The participants shared practical solutions, exchanged best teaching practices and deliberated on addressing the diverse learning needs of students.
